Whoever Doubts the Patriots Learns Hard Lessons
| Hope you all had a good weekend & I hope none of you were fans of the Cincinnati Bengal’s - the most hated team in sports. The New England Patriots had their backs to the wall even though they did win 3 Super Bowls in the last 4 years and lost ½ or 50% of there entire offense to the greed of money and the shortsightedness of NFL supposed superstars who would rather play for a couple of extra bucks then to be a part of the greatest NFL team…..maybe in NFL history!…… We don’t know yet because the story is not over but NE Patriots made minced meat out of Carson Palmer and the Bengal’s in their own backyard…..who if you watch ESPN had a lot of sports writers picking to win the big game or most definitely represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. God forbid that Bill Belichick, considered by many one of or the greatest coach in NFL history, gets his team into the playoffs. Forget about the possibility of the Super Bowl in which every player, players agent, family member or friend of players in the entire NFL or for that matter, all of professional sports hopes that the NE Patriots will not win another game this season because it will show that to have a great team does not mean that you need a bunch of egotistical, overpaid superstar athletes…… What you need is a system in which good to mediocre athletes can play together as a team and accomplish the impossible and to top it off…..forget about the unheard of, where superstar or great players like Tom Brady, Teddy Bruschi, Troy Brown and others take a little less money then what is conceivably top dollar for their prospective position and decides that playing within the system that Belichick created, with their fellow teammates and coaches who are all focused on one goal which is to give 100% both physically and mentally as a team to achieving the ultimate……winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It is unheard of in this day and age of individual accomplishments and salary compensation which makes what the NE Patriots have done and continue to do that much more sacred, unselfish and why any fan not just a NE fan would want to hold onto and watch every minute of every down because it very possibly that this may be the last team in all professional sports to encompass what made America the greatest nation in the world. And why there is not a doubt in my mind people like; George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Andrew Jackson, Abe Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Martin Luther King, JFK and countless others gave their life for this country and are all looking down and cheering the winning ways of NE because as long ago as 225 years, there is still a team of men that have the pride, the spirit, the guts and dedication to do whatever it takes as a team to accomplish their goal.
